Background:

This Health Centre in the Creuse region (between Clermont-Ferrand and Limoges), is looking for a general practitioner attracted by a salaried full time position, team work, a motivating public health project and life in a beautiful countryside.

This health centre is pioneering in french rural area, also through its associative status and its participatory governance. It will start working next spring (2022), in a new building, built for it and equipped with the best equipment, including for telemedicine.

It is located in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, on the borders of Limousin and Auvergne, in the heart of a country of middle mountain farming (600/700 meters above sea level), near to Aubusson, 80 km from Clermont-Ferrand, 100 km from Limoges and 400 km south of Paris.

It will be open from 8 am to 20 pm on weekdays and from 8 am to 12 pm on Saturday.

It is a non-profit and participatory organization. You will be directly involved in its tripartite governance associating staff, patients and partners.

Job description:

You will work in a team with 1 other GP, 1 nurse (halftime), 1 medical assistant, 1 administrative manager (halftime), 1 director (part-time).

You will be a salaried employee with an executive status. You will enjoy an innovative environment open on multi-disciplinary and multi-professional collaboration projects. You will carry out consultations in the Centre premises and visits to patients’home. You will participate in the continuation patients care local system (on call turns at night and during week-end; french acronym: PDSA). Convinced that the public health action must go beyond care, you will also contribute to prevention, education and health promotion activities. You will supervise medical students hosted on internship in the Health Centre (ambulatory primary care training; french acronym: SASPAS).

You must have a sufficient practice of spoken and written French. If needed, upgrade training program, in a french medical environment, is possible before taking up the job. A training medical French is offered by Work your Way to France !

You are passionate about your job, you want to invest in a team including at least one senior colleague familiar with local patient base and in which professional exchanges are privileged, with attracting working conditions in new premises. Relieved of administrative and logistical tasks, you can concentrate fully on medical practice in a serene atmosphere. You believe in the potential of telemedicine and wish to make use of it.

You also attach importance to collaborative, multidisciplinary networking with other health professionals of the area: in close connection with the Aubusson local hospital and as an actor in the territorial professional health community (french acronym: CPTS ) being created by the regional health Agency (ARS); beyond, with liberal specialists and hospitals in Gueret, Ussel and Montluçon and with the two University Hospital Centers (french acronym: CHU) in Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand.

Internal relations: 1 director, 2 then 3 GPs, 1 medical assistant, 1 administrative manager.

External relations: the patients, the 75 beds nursing home for dependent elderly people (french acronym: EHPAD) in the village, other health professionals of the immediate surroundings, those of the future CPTS, Aubusson local hospital, the nearest medical specialists, Guéret, Montluçon and Ussel hospitals, Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand CHU, the Order of Physicians, the ARS, the Creuse office of public social security health insurance (french acronym: CPAM), local officials, etc.

Profile:

Doctor in medicine, general practitioner, registered with the Order of Physicians

Experienced or recently qualified

Sense to teamwork, good public health culture

Annual salary: € 72 000 € gross + 8 500 € for PDSA (approx., net of tax)
